Here Comes The Sun

Today I saw sedges in the prairie, eastern garters in western Gary and sundial in sandy soils.

    uhm...and a FREAKING SNAKE. Did you mention the FREAKING SNAKE that you saw? And didn't run from? Rather stuck around and tinkered with camera settings and angles so that the sunlight hit him just so.... "I'm ready for my close-up, Mr. Ecologist...right after I eat out your eyeballs."

    ...yikes...
